DESCRIPTION
Premium hemp & cotton fleece for a luxurious, hypo-allergenic cloth, perfect for light exfoliation, removing make-up and oil cleansing.
Hemp creates one of the most sustainable fabrics in the world and is hypo-allergenic and non-irritating to the skin. It provides all the warmth and softness of a natural textile and is an exceptionally durable and strong fabric.
Hemp requires no pesticides, crowds out weeds without herbicides, controls erosion of the topsoil, and produces oxygen. It is also a very fast growing crop, producing high fiber yield per acre making it a very sustainable choice!
Handmade in Ontario, Canada
COMPOSITION
Made from 55% hemp and 45% organic cotton
CARE
Fabric is not pre-washed, so wash and dry before use. To clean, wash cold or warm with like colours using your detergent of choice. Tumble dry low or hang to dry. Fabric will become softer and reach maximum absorbency after a few wash cycles. Expect some shrinkage. Fabric may shed some lint until they've been washed a few times. This is normal!
*Do not use fabric softener or dryer sheets as these will decrease absorbency of fabric.
DESCRIPTION
12 creamy-white tissues that are as soft as anything for a comfortable and friendly zero waste approach
Choose black tissues if you or a family member has even an occasional nosebleed.
Why choose Bateau Bateau handkerchiefs?
If you like :
- Soft, fluffy and comfortable things.
- The idea of a "single use" handkerchief that looks like a disposable instead of a large grandpa-like handkerchief.
- Easy care that can be put in the dryer.
- When your handkerchief is thick enough not to get your fingers wet.
- You sponge the inside of the nostril effectively.
- Be comforted when you have a cold.
CARE
They go in the washer and dryer.
Handkerchiefs may shrink a bit and warp over time. They are not meant to fray. If you see any threads, cut them off and continue to use them normally. If you see that your tissues are unnaturally frayed, contact us. Top-loading, non-pivot HE washers are more prone to fraying our tissues. If you have this type of washer, it is recommended that you choose white tissues and/or wash them on a delicate cycle.
Avoid using bleach, as chlorine can weaken natural fibers and damage or yellow the fabric over time.
Avoid using fabric softener, as it may waterproof the fibers and your tissues will become less absorbent over time.
If necessary, you can rinse/soak the tissues first or do a quick cycle with warm water to dilute the mucus.
Add tissues to a regular load (clothes, washcloths, towels...) preferably in cold water (for the environment).
CAUTION: Blood can stain white fabrics. Rinse with cold water before disposing of or washing in hot water.
CAUTION: Do not overload your washer. Tissues need room to expand and for water and soap to penetrate the fabric.
Drying: Tumble dry to keep them soft or hang to dry.
COMPOSITION
70% bamboo viscose and 30% organic cotton. OEKO-TEK-100 certified fabric.
Size: The tissues are the same size as a disposable tissue: 19 x 20.3 cm (7.5" x 8")
The handkerchiefs are cut simply, without overcast seams.
DESCRIPTION
Includes a pretty fabric box for storing tissues and a matching, reversible basket for disposing of used tissues until the next wash.
Use, dispose, wash, reuse:
Blow your nose, put your tissue in the basket and when the basket is full, drop the tissues in the washer without touching them. Wash and dry in the machine. Put the clean tissues back in the box and reuse over and over again.
The basket may not seem like much, but it's necessary to structure the concept and prevent tissues from ending up in the trash, getting lost or lying around. It is placed next to the box to obtain a practical, easy to use and hygienic routine
