Having grown up in the Quebec countryside, Geneviève Godbout’s call to the city made itself early. Armed with her multicoloured pencils, she left her native Lévis to study traditional animation at the Cégep du Vieux Montréal. Her love of big cities growing, she continued her training at Gobelins in Paris. Falling under the spell of old Europe, she then lived in London for seven years. Thanks to her favourite mediums: wood pencils and pastels, the illustrator, now Montrealer, has seen her career flourish in recent years.
